Luxe Wonderland Wedding at Legacy Castle | Nardine + Mina

Nardine and Mina's love story began on a mission trip to Egypt. Though they both grew up attending the same church and knew of each other, they'd never really interacted. They connected through a shared passion for helping others while far from home, and when they returned to the states, they were friends…at first. But it didn't take long for those warm feelings to bloom into love!

Four years later, Mina proposed in storybook style—before a stunning west New York skyline view with giant floral letters that read 'Be my wife’ and flying doves!

Wedding Day Plans

Almost right away, they chose The Legacy Castle in New Jersey for their celebration. They both fell in love with its grand, sumptuous aesthetics. Plus, the magnificent space lent itself to Nardine's creative wedding day concept. Instead of traditional hues and decor, she wanted bold, brilliant, and unexpected. Every choice—from her flowers to her wedding day style—was informed by that vision!

Fashion-Forward Bridal Style

Our fashion-loving bride was all about personalized pieces that also captured her aesthetic. While getting ready, she wore a custom Karen Sabag tulle robe trimmed in five-color ombré feathers.

Karen Sabag also designed Nardine's spectacular custom gown and veil. Though she worked closely with the designer to choose colors, fit, and fabrics, the actual wedding gown was even more fabulous than she'd imagined. Nardine's corseted gown is covered with 3D flowers made of feathers and beading and finished with an eight-yard-long train. The entire bridal gown took 800 hours to make!

As someone who loves wearing huge, dramatic earrings, Nardine knew exactly where to start with her bridal accessories! When she visited us at Bridal Styles Boutique, we worked together to create a pair of custom, crystal-encrusted, Art-Deco-inspired statement earrings. To that fabulousness, she added a custom-designed crystal vine bridal headpiece to complement her chic chignon.

The Ceremony

When Nardine walked with her mother down the aisle at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church, it was the first time Mina saw his bride. In keeping with centuries of Coptic Orthodox wedding tradition, they wore crowns and special capes. Then, as delighted newlyweds, they exited the church in a shower of bubbles and love from friends and family.

A Colorful, One-of-a-Kind Wedding Reception

The Sarcon Flower Couture team transformed Legacy Castle into a whimsical, glamorous wonderland. Large arrangements of flowers and feathers of all the colors important to Nardine filled the space, along with live trees adorned in lavender and pastel pink flowers. Serpentine-shaped family tables draped in garlands created a breathtaking aisle to the dancefloor.

Next Level Entertainment

After the cocktail hour, Nardine and Mina made their entrance with fanfare! First, showgirls dressed in red ushered them onto the dancefloor. Then, theatrical purple lighting rose, fog rolled in, and our bride and groom's first dance to Clinton Kane's "I Guess I'm in Love" began.

That sensational moment was followed by even more! The showgirls served champagne, disco-ball-headed dancers appeared, and everyone flooded onto the floor. During dinner, an LED Cyr wheel act and LED wing showgirls performed. Then the dancing started back up to the DJ's masterful mix of Middle Eastern music selections!
