A Contemporary and Regal Big Day

Before cultured pearls became a thing in the late 1800s, pearls were rarer than diamonds. So, royalty wore pearls as a sign of wealth and status. That's why you see so many oil portraits of royals past positively dripping in pearls! 

Our modern take on regal wedding day style starts with a dreamy wedding gown encrusted with pearl beads by Lee Petra Grebenau. A Wedding Day with Vintage-Inspired Romance

Pearls carry with them a touch of nostalgia. So, if a touch of retro is what you're after, the below inspiration is for you! 

With an open back draped in strands of pearls, the Galia Lahav wedding dress reads both modern and 1920s. We chose a wedding hair piece with a slightly Art Deco design as a finishing touch. To complement the wedding gown and hair vine, we added bold bridal earrings that could have come from generations ago...or from your favorite jeweler. To further the heirloom vibe, we introduced a touch of dusty pink in the wedding cake and spectacular rose-and-pearl decor.

Chic, Luxe Wedding and Bridal Style 

For fashion-loving brides, we chose a pearl-scattered Galia Lahav wedding gown. That mermaid silhouette, asymmetrical neckline, and sheer cape are 100% runway ready! As far as bridal hair accessories, there are all kinds of directions you can go with this look—bridal hair pins placed in an artful updo, a hair comb tucked in a loose chignon, or a contemporary tiara. The stunning piece we chose is a tiered headband. Strung with pearls of various sizes, it's chic and a touch goddess-y, just like the gown. Similarly, the gilded wedding cake and airy bouquet are minimalist and luxurious.
